“Going to get married!!! But wait, not yet. I need to lose 40 more pounds. I promise it won’t take me longer than 6 months. Tick, tock goes the clock and you haven’t lost a pound!”
I’ve opened this blog after watching some of my closest friends mourn miserably about trying to fit into their wedding dress or get to their ideal size before they get married. Their soon-to-be husbands honestly do not care if they are size 6 or size 20, they love them for who they are AND how they like.
But in the words of my good friend Samantha, “I don’t want to be immortalized looking like Miss Piggy on her wedding day”.
After getting into the fitness game pretty hard for the past few years and changing my body, my friends are finally on board. Three of my closest friends are getting married in the next two years but all of them have weight loss goals to meet before the big day. All of them have different body shapes and sizes, and different ways of wanting to go about their individual weight loss journeys.
My goal is to help all three of them get into the best shape of their lives because we all want to look great in the wedding photos (All of us are bridesmaids!) And in the words of Jessica, “I’ll be damned if my best friend is going to look better in her dress than me at my own wedding!”.
So while not all three women are going to be doing the same workouts and same diet, they all will follow a tailored routine for their own interests and that is where this blog comes in. The ultimate goal is to get fit before their weddings, all three them and in three different ways! This will demonstrate that there is more than one way to cut a pie! (Okay, maybe I should cut the pie metaphors on a diet blog…)
